    Mountain laurel in bud along Pilot Knob ridge trail in Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park Eva, TN. Also a few mountain azaleas still in bloom.

      Thank you for the update, Dana. I assume this is earlier than normal; everything throughout the country seems to be blooming early this year.

    I found the mountain laurel flowers by accident along the south Anna river in Virginia. I was drawn to them because they looked like fake flowers that had been left behind. I was blown away when I picked one up off the ground and it was real! Just thought I’d share(: wish I could post photos here!
