This is an appropriate choice, because there is some disagreement as to whether Jimsonweed should be considered a native plant, or an introduced species. Jimsonweed, an introduced species, has been added to the USWildflowers database (09/25/2011.) Scientific name is Datura stramonium. It is also known by the common names Jamestown Weed, Mad Apple, Moon Flower, Stinkwort, Thorn Apple, and Devil’s Trumpet.
