Hi Gerry,
I have tried to germinate several species of sensitive plant but the seed either do not sprout or die within a month. I suspect there are complicated dormancy requirements for these plants. Usually legumes are easy from seed but not these.
Any ideas on germination?
Unfortunately I’m not a gardener, and have no experience with growing these plants. Here’s a link that may be useful – http://plants.usda.gov/plantguide/pdf/pg_mist2.pdf
When I was in school in Dallas, Texas, my sister and I walked to school next to a field. These tint sweet smelling flowers grew in the spring. I also found them in the parking lot of Night Hawk Resturant off the Interstate 35.
Also found in Southwest Missouri.
