I have found some of the pale blue ones at the edge of woods in back yard, New Castle County DE, 26+ inches tall. The ones whose stems were nibbled by deer (or rabbits?) have bushed out quite nicely.
Thanks for this entry – I have been trying to identify this flower for years! I knew it was a lobelia from the shape of the flowers, but until I found your site, I could find no info in any of my wildflower books. 🙂
