I was walking today and came across several hundred of these beside the road. They are plentiful in Burrville, TN.
In that part of Tennessee, those are more likely to be Trillium cuneatum (Sweet Betsy), Trillium sessile (Sessile Trillium) or Trillium recurvatum (Prairie Trillium) than Trillium lancifolium (Lanceleaf Trillium).
