The company I work for has recently built a large parking garage in downtown Chattanooga.  I’ve been collecting photographs of the birds that are using the new shelter, or in at least one case, used a nearby streetlamp to take a rest.  I watched this fellow for about 15 minutes as he watched the pedestrians walk by beneath him (or her.)  Anyone want to help me with an ID?   (Read on for a few more parking garage birds.)

I park near the top of the garage and walk up onto the top level so I can take in the view as I head into the office.  It’s an unusual day when I don’t see a mockingbird on the roof of the garage.

The mourning doves are regulars on the top level walls as well, making an appropriately mournful sound as I leave the outdoors to go into the office.  This was on a cold, windy day.

This pair of house finches was cavorting through the openings in the garage one recent sunny day.

You saw this crow last week, but I think it fitting to use it as a bookend with a sentinel on a lamp post at each end of this blog post.
