Hollow Joe Pye Weed – Eupatoriadelphus fistulosus – Added to USWildflowers Database
Posted on August 20th, 2010 3 commentsHollow Joe Pye Weed, a native species, has been added to the USWildflowers database (08/20/2010 – species number 250!) Scientific name is Eupatoriadelphus fistulosus although many will know it by Eupatorium fistulosum. This plant also is known by the common names Trumpetweed, tubular thoroughwort, and hollow-stemmed joe-pye-weed. Photo below was taken in Walker County, Ga on Aug 17, 2010.

Did they change the name of Eupatorium fistulosus? So many names have been changed, it is hard to keep up!
