Wife and I recently visited the Big Horns (August 2016). We collected seed from various wildflowers. I was interested in the rose as many plants were growing along Hwy 14 (east side near Dayton) in an open grassland environment and identified only by the hips. The rose was prostrate, not higher than a few inches with the hips touching the ground. Will the seeds from this plant produce a low-growing plant or will the genetics allow for this plant to form a tall bush?

That’s a great question, Jerry, and if I answered it would be pure speculation. I sure hope you come back here and report how it turns out.
