Does anyone know if Verbesina alternifolia
Is toxic to dogs? My friends dog ate some and he is curious about its toxicity.
    (In Easton, PA)
    Thanks!

Kathleen – I’m not an expert, but I don’t find anything that would indicate toxicity in this plant if consumed in small amounts. I suspect your friend has nothing to worry about on this account.

These plants are currently (late August 2017) flowering thickly around the Creekview Park (Carlisle, PA) walking trail near Conodoguinet Creek.
