I am a Naturalist with the State of Ohio,Matthew Minter. On Wednesday July 31, 2019 I found evidence of Tipularia Discolor (Cranefly Orchid) at Pike Lake State Park on a West facing slope. Most of the stalks I found have already been spent, but I was able to take a photo of one stalk that still had flowers. I have been the Naturalist at Pike Lake State Park since 1983 and this is the first time I have seen evidence of the plant. I found it in the same area as Rattlesnake Plantain and Indian Cucumber Root.
