Is this the flower also called Ladies’ Thimble? I received a small sample from a neighbor, who called it that, and it is blooming beautifully in my native plant garden, Moscow, Idaho.

Ladies’ Thimble does indeed seem to be another of the many common names by which Campanula rotundifolia is known.

I see that the site states that these flowers can also rarely found in white. Well I happened upon one along a trail in Montana today. It was right next to a good sized group of the normal purple colored ones. I did happen to get a picture of it if you would like one for the website.
