Twitter #Sabbatical Until Backlog Handled

I’ve been building up a backlog of actions I want to take on USWildflowers.com, including (but not limited to) identifying and publishing new species that I’ve photographed. That particular backlog is up to over 100 species, although many will not result in publication once I’ve confirmed the identification, since some will turn out to be species already published that I think might be a different species, and some (many, probably) will stay unidentified because my photographs, resources and/or expertise aren’t up to the task.

I’ve been trying to evaluate my available time in light of this backlog as well as some travel I’ll be doing over the next few months – I won’t have consistent Internet access anyway – and it looks like one of the things I need to sacrifice for now is my time spent directly on Twitter looking at others’ posts, as well as thanking folks for their kindness in retweeting and commenting on my posts. during this sabbatical I’ll miss the great information and photos that I find there.

The thrice-daily Native Plant of the Day (#NPOD) posts will continue – I don’t want to break the streak that started almost 5 years ago – but the rest of my interactions on Twitter will be very limited for a few months – probably the remainder of the summer and into the fall. Unless, of course, this habit is harder to break than I expect…

Thanks in advance for those of you that Follow, Retweet, Fave, and Comment about USWildflowers.com! I’ll tweet with you later…
