      They are, Mia. I just wish I had found one fully open. These are the only Idaho Trillium I’ve seen in my several trips to Idaho. Maybe next year… 🙂

        Smell the flower of Idaho trillium! It smells like rotten meat!! I have observed ants visiting its blossom, and wonder if they are a primary pollinator (??). Here in Washington County, ID., I’ve only found them only under very dense black hawthorne thickets where bees do not frequent (is it self-pollinating?).
