#Wildflowers at The Pocket – Update 04/21/2013

It’s been a very busy two weeks, but we made it down to The Pocket today; unfortunately only the boardwalk.  The spectacular show is definitely winding down, but there is still plenty to see.  Among the flowers now at peak are the Wild Hyacinth – Camassia scilloides.

Other wildflowers that I observed blooming at The Pocket today are listed below.  Remember I only went on the boardwalk; I’m sure the list would have been bigger if I’d gone up to the falls or to other areas in The Pocket.  Note – In the two weeks I’ve been away I completely missed the White Baneberry blooming.  Their “doll’s eyes” seeds are starting to form.

Thank you so much for your excellent uswildflowers.com web site.

We just took a 5-day trip to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and spotted many wildflowers we weren’t familiar with. Then while trying to add keywords to my photos, I discovered your web sites. I was able to find the large Trillium by searching on ‘wildflowers white’ and just now while browsing your photo gallery, I saw the Trout Lily and Geranium Maculatum.

It’s people like you with a love for their hobby that makes the internet so wonderful. Keep shooting. Keep posting. You have fans out there, such as me.
